1/I gave this series to a friend, and she absolutely raved about it. I haven’t read it, but the description is fascinating, though it is clearly intended for a female audience and I am not female (although I am not a biologist, so how can I really say?).
Seriously, my friend was rivetted to the series!
2/This 8th book in the Outlander series progresses Claire’s and Jamie’s story. While not as riveting as some of the earlier books, it tells a good tale and really sets one up for the next book in the series. Recommended.
3/This book was different than most of the other books in this series. This one started out fast and really moved for the first 600 pages, but the last 200 pages was a lot slower. Irritated that the book spent only 20% of the story on Bree and Roger because I found their story the most interesting to resolve. I did enjoy another good dose of Revolutionary War battles and politics in this book. Always impressed as usual with the level of detail and research that goes into these books. They could probably end the TV series with this book and it’d be a solid ending.
