2/This book single-handedly rekindled my enjoyment for reading. The last book I read was years ago and I decided to pick this up last year. I started reading and put it down for months due to other priorities. I picked it up again and could not put it down. If I was not reading it physically, I was listening to it on audible. Mystery, political intrigue, leadership, redemption, betrayal, magic, action and adventure, honor, and much more – this book is hard to describe but the journey was well worth my time. I am looking forward to the next book!!! I highly recommend if you enjoy fantasy. Though it is a large book it never feels overwhelming … journey before destination! The journey is grand!
3/After reading the first three books in the series, I just can’t bring myself to read anymore. It drags on and on and on. There are really good elements to the story and a couple of the characters are interesting, but it takes way too long. I appreciate his attention to detail, but it’s just too much. I feel disappointed to not finish it, but I just can’t spend more time on these onerous books.
