2/I love reading books about a persons life, seeing where they come from, how they were raised, etc. This book did not disappoint. A few times I gasped because it was unbelievable some of the things Trevor went through. You will not be disappointed in reading this book. Amazing.
3/I’ve read several autobiographies, and this one is the most honest, soul-bearing, and shocking I’ve ever read.
Trevor opened himself up; he bared himself, his truth, his tragedy, and his triumph. I’ll will never look at him in the same light again. I’ll see him henceforth as a man of determination and strength.
He and his Mother had a unique relationship, filled with love and openness. He revealed her as a unique woman whose strength and faith had carried her through life, and made him the man he is today
His story will make you laugh, shake your head, shock you and make you want to cry.
I have owned this book for years before I finally got around to reading it, then I kicked myself for not putting it higher on my reading list. This is the kind of book that will make you want to read it again, but only certain parts of it. Some aspects of this book I don’t wish to revisit.
Hats off to Trevor, this book is a triumph… and a miracle. Well done Trevor and Mother.
