1/The character development is strong, and even side characters feel fleshed out enough to care about them. The spice is excellently written and often enough to keep you looking for it without overshadowing the plot. And the MMC is my favorite I’ve ever read. I can’t say enough about this one.
My one caveat for this over the top positive review is that I didn’t love how Poppy suddenly leaned in so hard to aggressive behavior for no reason and doubted herself so much. I’m hoping she trusts her gut more in the future and learns to use her words.

2/Glad I’m reading after they’ve been released or the cliffhanger on this one would kill me! Off to start the 3rd book!
3/This was the third time for me to read book 2. I haven’t read the latest book (5) yet, and I like to start over. Anyway, the ending is just wow! Even knowing what’s about to happen, it’s an adrenaline rush. I remember suspecting and expecting, but the action and feelings are amazing. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll just say, if you like steamy romance mixed with supernatural, medievalesque royalty, battle action, warriors, and a plethora of mysterious plot twists, you’ll like this series.
