1/Just received the book today. The printing is misaligned and the top of the page is almost cutoff. I just started reading the book so no thoughts on that yet but the pages are driving me crazy.

3/I hope that people reading this book take it for what it is – observational commentary and some cultural anecdotes – and not a research-based guide. The generalizations about how “all” or most babies behave in France seems to be merely from the authors interactions in her social circles and from some of her own reading. It’s fun, unique, and easy to read, but definitely not something I’d build a whole parenting strategy around.
All that aside, taking off two stars because of all the anti-feminist commentary and undertones (ranging from body image to a woman’s role in the household). No thanks.
