1/It was an OK read, I typically like most of Kings writing. But I can definitely do without his political commentary. We all know he’s liberal, he, as a lefty, dutifully mocks trump, and takes shots at Bush. I’m not interested in his politics in the slightest.
2/Not what I was expecting. A great story of suspense, thecstruggles of life, and the paranormal. Also a great tribute to the monsters we all keep hidden inside our mental closets.
3/The first Stephen King book I read was The Shining. That book made me fall in love with his style of writing, how his plotlines develop, and how he can lull the pace to a crawl and bring it back in roaring fashion like no one else.
To the dismay of many fans, King’s writing changed late in his career due to a near-fatal accident. I like all his titles, but I also prefer his older works. This book feels like vintage King to me. If you are a fan of King at all, I have no doubt that you’ll love this book.
