2/I listened to this book about six years ago, thought it was totally overrated. I now decided to return to it based on a quote I read. It’s a very impressive book! I can’t understand how I missed it.
It’s a little like lifting the lid on an unassuming looking pot, only to find grisly frogs and serpents inside. What’s impressive about this book is the very believable unfolding and uncovering of both characters and plot, where you get to see both the reflections and perspectives superficially, but also swim in the depths of what lies beneath.
3/When I started reading this book I almost quit I thought it really isn’t grabbing me but then it did grab me. I could hardly put it down. I had to see what happened next. The story is told from two perspectives: the husband and the wife’s. The only reason I didn’t give it a five is because of the ending. I won’t spoil it for others but it needed more for the ending. Read it, it’s very good
