1/alot of hate on these reviews, personally it’s my favorite series from the last 12 years. After a coworker introduced it to me in February of 2022 I had listened to the series around 13 times by January 2023. I can’t get enough. I promise you that is not an exaggeration. Im allowed to have an ear bud in at work so crushing audiobooks is nothing. Now I will admit Nick Podehl, and for those unaware is the Michael Jordan of book narration, really makes the story come alive. Anything he does is great. He voices every character in a unique way with flawless ease. I always know who is speaking.
I love the way she is building worlds too. Book 5 goes even deeper and the threads she’s building continue to grow but feels like another book or two might finish it. I enjoy what she’s been able to create. Sometimes the constant “errands” Rezkin has to run from kingdom to kingdom can feel tedious but there is something in ever part or adventure I love. I don’t want to name specific parts as to not spoil anything.
Idk, I really fucking love this book series. I love rezkin and tam and all the other characters. I love their growth and interactions. and I really don’t hate Frisha THAT much. She’s definitely not the best character but man have there been so much worse in books. I hope if you read this review that you at least give the series a chance and I hope you love it as much as I do.
2/Great story so far. I love the perspectives from different characters and the overall plot/character growth. I’m ready for the next in the series!
