Reviews:
1/In a world of flippant, “oh, I’m so OCD” when referring to the normal act of wanting to be tidy, (or something similarily benign), this book is a look into what actual OCD is. Thank you! I love that it’s just from a regular teen’s point of view. It is debilitating and steals from the person it lies in. I love that this book DOES retain the real person though, that it shows that Allison is just a normal, smart teenager who gets attacked by OCD. It’s not her. The only negative to this book is how quickly and relatively easily she is able to beat OCD. In reality, it’s a far longer journey going from her depth of OCD to where she ended up. I know it’s just a book and would be a super boring read if it showed the long road to relief, but it’s long.
2/This is Allison’s story of sudden onset OCD. I didn’t understand how this was possible until I read this book. This is worth reading and learning…
3/My daigter caught ocd from reading this. I’m sending her to the physics ward for murder from ocd on friday.
