1/This book is phenomenal and I can easily see why it’s a best seller. Brandi Carlile the human is introduced in this book. As a devoted fan for many years, to get the back story makes her even more of an icon than she already was to lesbians everywhere. The end of each chapter is so special with her singing the songs she discusses. Highly recommend to anyone.
2/This is one book you need to listen to on Audible. The author takes us through the poignant moments of her life with the music that grew out of those moments.
I’m planning on giving this another listen while giving myself the grace to pause and savor.
3/What a treat. Brandi’s book was beautiful for a thousand reasons, but mostly because you could feel her authenticity. I was a fan before “Broken Horses” but now, I just can’t find the words to say thank you for sharing your story. I am inspired and so grateful to share it with my daughter and friends.
