Reviews:

1/4/5 ⭐️ That prologue omg! Gregory is insane. The beginning of the story was pretty tough for me. Seeing how Gregory really thought he was in love with Hermione was giving me major anxiety  I knew what I was getting myself into with this one but boy was it hard to read when Gregory was infatuated with Hermione. I almost wanted to skip those parts lol. I feel like he spent half of the book “in love” with Hermione and that just didn’t sit right with me.

When Gregory did realize his feelings for Lucy, it was so sweet. He did a whole 360 and he was all in but Lucy was about to get married in one week! That wedding/reception part was crazy but I loved how devoted Gregory was to making Lucy his wife and he was not letting anyone get in his way. I loved that about him. As the story progressed, it is clear to the reader that Gregory never loved Hermione, just the idea of her.

Lucy was such an amazing heroine. I loved the way she cared about the happiness of those around her. She was willing to sacrifice her own happiness for her loved ones. She has become one of my favorites from this whole series so far.

2/I just enjoy the old fashioned society norms and the witty banter from all Bridgertons, their mother, and their spouses! In such a strict society, their humor and closeness as a family is truly heartwarming. Yes, a bit cheesy in the romance department, but the main draw is the clever dialogue, at least for me anyway…

3/It’s official. My friend and co worker has finally lost the plot if she thinks this is the best out of the 8 books she has subjected me to the past month. Why she found this so amazing; I’ll never know. But the world would be a boring place if we all loved the same things wouldn’t it? I can understand why she loved it. The drama, the twists. The element of surprise at each corner. She lives for the suspense and this book gave it to her. But for me; it fell short of being entertaining. I found it as tedious as book number 7, but luckily not as boring as book 1 & 2 which I am still trying to erase from my brain. I predicted the twist before it was revealed just like my friend did. The implication of the words were not very subtle and if you’re an avid reader like me and my friend are, you would know instantly what the author was hinting at, a chapter before it was even revealed. Nevertheless, I am glad I have reached the end and completed the series. All I have left now is to read the happily ever after books with the second epilogues and I am officially done for good. Now that all of them are underway, I can say my favourites of this series was book 3, 4 and 5.
