1/The Bane series is excellent. This book’s best parts are in the battle sequences even the book is not as good as it’s predecessor. Somehow the author manages bring strategy and tactics life what it would be to fight when both parties would have these capabilities driven from the force.
2/An excellent addition to the saga, well in depth on the mid history of Banes life and his apprentice.
3/The story is great but there are a few times when the abilities of force users are reduced for the sake of the current conflict they’re in.
There’s an echo effect used to indicate a memory sequence which I find to really distract from the narration. this is used quite a bit in the middle of the book.
Bane was a really great character in Path of destruction but I like Zana even more in this one. Her cruelty is impressive in her eagerness to please her master.
