1/I tried to watch the series. Then I found out it was from a game, and the game was based on a book series. As I was intrigued by the premise (but not the execution) of the series, I gave the book a try.
I found the writing excellent, with enough description to picture the scenes and enough action to keep a good pace. The characters are interesting and always left me wanting to know more.
2/I found the book unable to put down.
Gerald is well thought out.
The book read more like a collection of short stories than a cohesive novel, but that did not deter me from finishing it
3/NOT for the homophobic, transphobic, closedminded or faint of heart!
This series must be read in order. This is the first book. I can’t wait to read more!
Geralt is having trouble finding work. No-one wants to get rid of the monsters anymore. Maybe because there are so few of them left. What’s a Witcher to do without monsters? How will he earn his livelihood? Where will he fit in? It there room in the world still for Witchers?
