1/I don’t know why but I cried a good amount of tears for this book. It wasn’t as comical as The Hating Game, I felt these characters had more baggage and emotion that felt raw. I also liked the idea of the beefy construction male having a chihuahua and having a very sensitive side and not perfect.
2/I rate this more at a 4 1/2 stars but since it did keep me up WAY past my bedtime reading, I rounded up! I felt this one was pretty similar to The Hating Game, but I did love Josh and Lucy better. Darcy and Tom were good together, but some things were lacking. Darcy was a little too sex crazed. Like I get it you don’t need to constantly talk/think about it ALL the time. It seemed like that was all she cared about more so than actually being with him. I also wish there had been a little more about Darcy’s grandmother and the tarot cards, she found one then it was never brought up again. Even with those things that bothered me it was still very enjoyable and if you liked The Hating Game, I think you should definitely check this one out as well!
