A Court of Mist and Fury Reviews:
1/The character development is unparalleled to many books I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this read. Worth the read
2/After 20 hours of listening, I finally got to the good smut! Thanks goodness!
I had heard that book 2 was better than book 1, but I would like to respectfully disagree. I was frustrated with Feyre in book 1, and that feeling only intensified here. I mentioned in my review of book 1 that if I were 16, that would be a 5 star book. I believe that sentiment holds here. If you are teenager who enjoys fantasy romance, this is the series for you. As an adult, the writing holds a lot to be desired. I did listen to the whole thing, though, and will move on to book 3. I do find the story compelling and very much enjoyed the eventual smut. I have yet to find a YA author as exceptional as Tamora Pierce, and this series certainly doesn’t hold a candle to my adult favorites (Game of Thrones, The Mists of Avalon, the Winternight trilogy, or the Sevenwaters series).
3/If you enjoyed the first book then you will enjoy this one!! The plot doesn’t disappoint and it will keep you wanting to read more
