1/I read through this series I a short time. It is very riveting. This author has a magical way of helping you see the characters completely. You love them, hate them, are anxious for them. Open this book and step in.
2/The final installment of the Twilight Saga. Bella finally agrees to marry Edward, and Edward agrees to change Bella. Jacob is extra whiny during his POV part.
Of course, Stephenie Meyer couldn’t just let Bella and Edward have immortality and each other. They have to have some strange pregnancy and give birth to a hybrid baby. And this book made me the angriest out of all of them, I think.
Choosing Edward (and vampirism) was supposed to be this huge sacrifice for Bella. She was supposed to fake her death, never see, or speak to her family or friends – including Jacob. She was never going to have children, but she would have the Cullens. She was giving up everything for him. But Stephenie Meyer couldn’t let that be enough, so Bella gets super self-control, her family, her daughter, and her best friend Jacob (who imprinted on a baby?? Weird). Not everyone needs to have everything they’ve ever wanted.
But, as with the rest of the series, I still read them regularly – it’s a good palate cleanser – and I still love them.
3/Just received the Twilight breaking dawn book! I’m so happy to receive it as a Christmas gift for myself but slightly sad that I bought with the “buy new” option but then got a book with few dents and unknown gunk on it. I’m glad that the inside is fine and I would say slightly worth it for the love of Twilight I have. 🙂
