1/This book is not what I would call a page turner, but it did pique my curiosity enough to keep me reading. I now want to watch one of the four movies that were made about this book, probably the one with Leonardo DiCaprio that was made in 2013.
2/It’s a nicely written story. Perhaps, a reader in an earlier time would find it more impressive than I did.
3/Supposed to be a novella. The first 2/3 pages of the book dragged on for me. Took days to read. The last 1/3 was where Fitzgerald came into his own. Fast, furious and floral. Kept the interest. Lots of foreshadows, pay attention to some of the names mentioned.
