1/I thought this was a really beautiful novel. It’s an excellent interpretation of purgatory and an examination on what life might look like if different choices had been made. It makes you think about your own “book of regrets” and what can be done about it now. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator did an excellent job – clear and pleasant voice.
2/Intriguing concept and well-written. The delivery of the theme got a big heavy-handed as the book went on, but otherwise, a good story and an enjoyable read.
3/I got a little bored in the middle but so glad I hung on. Inspirational. Would highly recommend this one.
The narration is nice. But the book has Nora’s cat dead in the first chapter so if you are sensitive to that as I am, do give some thought before picking up the book.
